Charity Screening of the Movie Amelia

Monday, November 15. Filmstaden, Sundsvall.
Sundsvall's Zonta Club arranged a charity screening of the movie Amelia. The film is about Amelia Earhart, the legendary American aviator, and her love of flying. Amelia was the first woman to fly solo over the Atlantic. She was a Zontian from 1930 until 1937 when she disappeared over the Pacific Ocean, the last leg of her attempt to fly around the world. Members of Sundsvall's Zonta Club Board spearheaded the event. Shown above are President Christina Rylander Bergqvist, Treasurer Carina Andersson and Club Master Gun Andersson, and Club Member Monika Lövgren. Monika is the head of Filmstaden.

Invited guests came to mingle prior to the screening. Ladies pictured upon arrival work at a government agency in Sundsvall.

The venue for the mingle was changed to a bigger one to accommodate everyone who came to meet!
Zontians and guests alike received their VIP-tickets from Gun and Carina.

So, it was finally time to find a sit and enjoy the movie for a good cause!
Christina, once again, warmly welcomed everybody. She presented Amelia Earhart, herself, Zonta in general and Sundsvall's Zonta Club in particular.
The movie theater was fully seated! As mentioned by Christina, the proceeds from the evening's gathering will go to Zonta's projects to improve women's health, educational, legal, economic and professional status worldwide.
Sundsvall's Zonta Club is grateful for the support given by our guests to the causes Zonta stands for. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
